Anger at the sprayer of the KVB

Cologne - The Association of Private Housing, "Home Basic" proposes Alarm: The new Sprühwerbung KVB Kölner on 60 stations deface the image of the cathedral city.
Only two weeks before, smeared unknown three-KVB cars with paint. Overall, the KVB pays each year for vandalism damage, some 100,000 euros.
Now they make themselves advertising on the asphalt. That annoys the association "Home Basic". "The tracks are private property, although the KVB," says CEO Thomas Tewes. "But not everything that is legal, must also be morally wrong. The Sprühereien on the floor are counter - only reach for attention. The city is trying to finally build a clean, unified city. The littering, including the Sprühereien is to reduce to a minimum. "
Even the basic house and CEO Konrad Adenauer rejects the new idea vehemently. "The KVB met as a municipal enterprise as a role model. This has Sprühwerbung not serious and gave the impression that graffiti is a good thing. In truth, it is a blight on our skyline. "
Joachim Berger, KVB spokesman, appeased: "The whole thing is a limited experiment. We will always ask passengers how the advertising matter and technically verify that the color looks like after a long time properly and whether they are fully decomposed. But any expression of opinion will feed into the test result. "
The city wants to watch. "To date it has not, like graffiti," says Klock Insa by the town clerk. "But we are all partners in the dialogue."
